We are learning to have a positive attitude when particpateing in activities and games that challenge us with movement and motor skills.
Successful learners will:
- Perform at least three waiata a ringa (action songs)
- Perform rakau (stick games)
- Have experiences with poi and haka
- Perform the school waiata
- Be involved in and enjoy activities such as hop scotch, jump rope, knuckle bones, frisbee, quoits, elastics, marbles, gutterball, badminton

Confident and competent swimmers in room 4 will be able to:

Kick on their back for 10 metres with arms outstretched and then backstroke a length of the school pool
Sidestroke for 10 metres
Flutterboard kick 10 metres with their face in the water with some breathing to the side and then freestyle a length of the school pool with some breathing, not necessarily to the side
Frog kick on front for 10 metres
In preparation for our Foxton Beach trip we are learning about 'rips'.
